A Note from Diko

As a father of four and a grandfather of eight, I’ve learned how fast life moves and how important it is to hold onto the small moments that make a family. So many of our memories were sitting in boxes and albums, fading quietly over time. I started scanning our own family photos simply to keep our history alive and make sure our kids and grandkids could see where they came from. Now I’m doing the same for others.

How do I receive my digital Photos?

You will receive your photos as an attachment to an email. You will receive instructions on how to download your photos to a Windows PC,
MAC, iPhone or Android

Will Diko’s Photos Retain the digital files

We will retain photos until confirmation that they have been received, then
they will be deleted.

When do I receive my original photos

Photos will be returned when digital files are received and payment is
made.

When is payment due / how can I pay?

Payment due before digital files are sent. Payment can be made via Venmo, PayPal or Zelle.

Will my photos be edited or altered?

Photos are scanned at high resolution and enhanced for clarity, color, and exposure. No heavy retouching is done unless specifically requested.

What file format will I receive?

Photos are delivered as JPEG files, which are compatible with phones, computers, and photo services.

Do I need special software to view my photos?

No. Your photos can be viewed on:

  • Any iPhone or Android phone
  • Any PC or Mac
  • Any standard photo viewer or web browser
Is there a minimum order?

Yes. The minimum order is $40 or 100 photos, whichever is greater.

Are my original photos safe?

Yes. Originals are handled carefully and scanned using the safest method for each photo.Fragile or older photos may be scanned individually using a flatbed scanner.

How much storage do digitized photos need?

 100 Photos ~ 1 GB
 500 Photos~3-5 GB
 1000 Photos~under 10 GB
Most clients will not need to upgrade storage
